Wayne Tucker and the Bad Mothas - Tribute to Marshal and Ernie Royal

The Story

Wayne Tucker is a New York-based trumpeter, vocalist, composer, and bandleader whose work blends jazz, soul, gospel, funk, R&B, and singer-songwriter traditions. He has performed and recorded with artists including Taylor Swift, Jay-Z, the Roots, Elvis Costello, and Jon Batiste while leading his own group, Wayne Tucker and The Bad Mothas. “I think my music is 100% vulnerable,” Tucker says. “I’m unafraid to express that true uniqueness.” Tucker will present his original music and also perform music by Marshal and Ernie Royal of Ozone Park Queens.2:30pm Doors, 3pm ConcertThis event is sponsored by a grant from The Flushing Town Hall, The Forest Park Trust, Councilmember Joann Ariola and Senator Joe Addabbo.
