Acceptable Use Policy

The principle

Flock is a 4-sided marketplace where attendees, hosts, vendors, sponsors, and venues meet. The platform works when everyone trusts that the others are operating in good faith. This AUP defines the floor for that trust.

What's prohibited

Hate + harassment

Targeting individuals or groups based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, or national origin.
Doxxing, stalking, threats — explicit or veiled.
Coordinated harassment campaigns, even when individual messages seem mild.

Illegal activity

Events that violate local law (unpermitted commercial events in restricted zones, after-hours unlicensed venues with capacity issues).
Sale of controlled substances. Cannabis events are allowed only in legal-rec states + with venue compliance.
Prostitution, human trafficking, or any commercial sexual services.
Financial fraud, money laundering, ticket scalping above face value (we cap resale at face + 5% fee).

Safety risks

Events without basic safety provisions (capacity limits, emergency exits, age verification on alcohol).
Calls to violence, riots, or coordinated harm.
Events targeting minors that aren't explicitly designed for them with parent consent flows.

Spam + abuse of platform

Mass-creating accounts to game the recommendation algorithm.
Spamming RFQ chats with off-platform contact attempts.
Posting events you can't deliver (ghost listings to harvest contact info).
Resale fraud (duplicating QR codes, reselling refunded tickets).

Misuse of AI

Prompt-injection attempts on Claude-backed surfaces (concierge, support, refund-saver).
Generating fake event descriptions or reviews via LLM with intent to deceive.
Auto-generated mass messaging in vendor RFQ chat.

IP + impersonation

Posting events using copyrighted material without license (concert recordings, branded characters, trademarked likenesses).
Impersonating venues, hosts, or other users.
Selling counterfeit tickets or merchandise.

How we enforce

Pre-publish hash check — known bad content (CSAM hashes, terror media) is blocked at upload.
LLM pre-screen — event descriptions + chat run through a content classifier before going public.
User reports — flag any event, message, or user from the menu (3-dot icon). Reports route to our trust queue at /admin/moderation.
Trust queue review — humans review every flagged item within 24h business-day. Severe-risk items (safety, illegal) reviewed within 1h, 24/7.
Immutable moderation log — every action recorded per EXECUTION-BIBLE §15.79. We can show you what action was taken on your account + when + why.

Appeals

Email trust@flock.city within 30 days of action.
You get a human (not an LLM) reviewer who didn't make the original decision.
Decision returned within 7 business days.
For permanent bans: optional second-tier review by a reviewer outside Trust & Safety.

Reporting illegal content

For content that may be illegal (CSAM, terror, immediate threats), we partner with NCMEC + report through their CyberTipline. We cooperate with law enforcement under valid legal process. Annual transparency report at /status.

Changes

AUP changes are versioned in /changelog. Material expansions (new prohibited categories) trigger 30-day email notice.
