The Story
* This walk will explore the residential and commercial neighborhoods in and around Atwater Village. We will also spend a bit of time walking along the LA River. Highlights include the Brunswick Fantasy Bungalows, Van de Camp and Valley Dairy buildings, the Tam O'Shanter restaurant and the site of a famous scene from Pulp Fiction. We also can expect to find Halloween decorations along the way. The route is almost completely flat with no stairs. Dogs should be fine everywhere. * **Level**: Intermediate * **Speed:** About 2.5 miles per hour * **Distance**: 6.5 miles * **Elevation gain:** \~100 feet * **Duration:** 3 hours * **Bathrooms:** Public bathrooms at Chevy Chase Park **Parking:** there is ample unrestricted parking on streets around the park * **Rain:** postpones the hike **Liability**: The organizer is an unpaid and untrained volunteer and is not liable for any loss, damage, or injuries sustained by participants and their guests.
