6 to 7 Mile Suburban Hike - Moderate / Advanced Level with 600+ ft of Elevation

The Story

We will be doing a fun quick paced **suburban hike** on the streets (sidewalks) & hills of **Roslyn, PA** (***Abington Township***). We'll get in about **6 - 7** miles and **600 + ft** of elevation gain at a decent pace (**apprx. 3.2-3.5 mph**) Moderate - Advanced level. There will only be one or two quick stops. This hike will concentrate more on **Distance** and less on **Elevation** Please try to be on time as a courtesy to the others. I can not respond to messages once we start. If running late send me a message before the start so we can determine a spot for you to meet us. This hike will be on paved surfaces, so it is OK to wear sneakers or trail running shoes. Definitely recommend hydrating before the hike and bring plenty of water and a snack. Be prepared to walk fast! There are street lights, but **you may want to bring a flashlight or headlamp** as it will be getting **dark** towards the end of the hike. Well behaved Dogs are welcome but must be kept on a static length leash at all times. **GUEST and ATTENDANCE POLICY:** All attendees must be members of Outdoor Adventure Friends. This is for communication purposes to ensure that those in attendance understand exactly what they are signing up for. Please be courteous and change your rsvp in a timely fashion if you can no longer attend an event. **PLEASE NOTE:** I cannot respond to calls, texts, emails, messages on meetup, or comments on the event page once we start hiking.
