Houston AI Club October Build Lab (October 15th - Free Parking!)

The Story

**Beyond Vibe Coding: Take Your AI Coding Skills to the Next Level** You’ve used AI to write code. Maybe you’ve built a prototype, shipped a tool, or surprised yourself with what you could create. But when the code runs, how do you know it’s ready for the real world? Join Houston AI Club and **Gauntlet AI on October 15** for a hands-on Build Lab focused on the next step: building with security and scalability in mind. After a short introduction from the Gauntlet AI team, you’ll break into small groups, choose a challenge, and get to work. You’ll tackle practical questions that come up when AI-generated code meets real-world demands: Where could things break? What needs protecting? What happens when your application has to handle more? Then we’ll come back together to share what you built, what worked, and what you’d approach differently. And don't forget — we've got **FREE PARKING VALIDATIONS** for you tonight, courtesy of Nimble! **Who this is for:** Developers, founders, ops people, the AI-curious — anyone who wants to stop watching demos and start building. **Bring your laptops and be ready to participate!** **Event Details** October 15th, 2026 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM CST **The Majestic: 17th Floor at 801 Travis St,** Houston, TX 77002 **Schedule** * 6:00 - 6:25 PM: Check-in, Refreshments and Networking * 6:30 - 6:35 PM Announcements & What’s new in AI this month * 6:35 - 7:45 PM: Hands-on Workshop featuring special guest **Ash Tilawat, CTO of Gauntlet AI**, * 7:45 - 8:00 PM: Q&A with speaker, Wrap-up, and Networking **Parking Instructions (VERY IMPORTANT)** Parking is available in the 801 Travis St garage off Rusk St. **Free Parking Validations are provided with a QR code during the presentations** when you attend the event courtesy of Nimble.
