The Story

An evening for disabled adults, family members, caregivers, and others to discuss creating intentional shared living opportunities that support greater independence. This will be a chance to exchange ideas, discuss challenges, build relationships, and explore whether future shared living opportunities may grow naturally from those connections. Potential Discussion Topics: * Challenges of finding appropriate semi-independent housing * Exploring the creation of affordable, cooperative households that combine companionship and independence * Balancing privacy, independence, and mutual support * Finding compatible housemates * Integrating caregivers into shared homes * Benefits of intentional shared living for everyone involved
