The Story

This walk includes a train ride so **bring a $1.25 for train fare.** (From our starting point we will take the train to the end of the line and then walk back.) Today is our third in the series **The Sole of Houston**, an appreciation of **John Nova Lomax**. Lomax was a Texas writer who, between 2006 and 2010, wrote a series of 12 articles for **the Houston Press** about his epic journeys: beginning with a ride on the **Metro System** out to the end of the line, he would walk back into town where he was always willing to give a moment to the **dive bars, abandoned furniture, lost shopping carts** and the people invariably found nearby. This walk includes a train ride so **bring a $1.25 for train fare.** Wear comfortable shoes and bring plenty of water.
