The Story

I get this question frequently in client work: People say that one ought to 'love oneself'; but what does that really mean? In this interactive workshop, we will explore how one can learn to truly self-love and self-connect. As well as sharing key concepts about the topic, I will be going through self-connection and emotional health auditing questions, and exercises—so please bring a notebook and writing utensil, if you can. A thought to leave you with, in anticipation of the lecture: The relationship we have to ourselves is the single most important one we have in life. Wherever in the world we go, there we are. We are the only ones present in our lives from cradle to grave. And, try as we might—no matter how intensely or conscientiously we are a loved—only we can truly connect with and understand the widest and deepest ranges of our own interiorities. As such, learning to build a healthy relationship to oneself is a non-negotiable milestone on the journey from surviving to thriving.
