If you have ever been curious about horseback riding but weren't sure where to start, this session is for you. We are getting together at a local stable in Markham to cover the absolute basics in a relaxed, low-pressure environment. We will spend some time learning how to properly approach a horse, the fundamentals of grooming and saddling, and the core techniques for mounting and basic control. Whether you have never touched a horse before or just want a refresher on the essentials, this is a great way to get comfortable in the saddle while surrounded by others learning the ropes. You do not need any prior experience or special gear to join us, just a willingness to listen and learn. We will be working with gentle, experienced horses and professional instructors who are great at explaining things clearly and keeping everyone safe. It is a wonderful way to spend a few hours outdoors and get a feel for whether this is a hobby you might want to pursue further. If you are interested in joining us, please grab a spot on the list so we can make sure we have enough instructors and horses ready for the group.
