Silent Book Club Seattle - "Friday Afternoon Tea, Monday Evening"

The Story

We have been meeting at Friday Afternoon Tea on third Mondays for many months now, but we are now announcing this on Meetup! Friday Afternoon Tea is a tea shop on the western border of Wallingford neighborhood on Stone Way Ave N. Whether you’re diving into a gripping novel, finishing your latest nonfiction pick, or simply savoring a few quiet moments with a book, this welcoming gathering is the perfect way to enjoy reading in good company. Bring your favorite read, a friend, or just yourself. All book genres, reading mediums, and readers 21+ are welcome! Friday Afternoon Tea's custom theme blends this season are based around stories, from global mythology to classic lit to contemporary indie reads to iconic horror. Please note: maximum 30 attendees! **📅 Event Schedule** **⏳ 6:00 - 6:15 → Arrive, settle in, and purchase a beverage - please support our host venue!** **\*\*\*Arriving after 6:15 pm may not ensure optimal or available seating.\*\*\*** **📖 \~6:15 - \~6:20 PM → Introduce yourself (name+location, what you’re reading).** **🤫 \~6:20 - \~7:20 PM → Silent reading time.** 🍾 **\~7:20pm -8:00 PM → Optional social time until cafe closure.** **🔹 RSVP & Event Guidelines** **✔ No assigned reading – Bring any book you’re currently enjoying (physical, e-reader, or audiobook with headphones).** **✔ RSVP REQUIRED – To help us coordinate space and seating, please RSVP. It's ideal to arrive as close to 6:15 pm as possible for optimal+available seating.
