The Story
How are yoga and social justice connected—and why does that connection matter now? Yoga offers more than physical practices. Its philosophy gives us ways to explore how we relate to ourselves, to one another, and to the communities and systems we are part of. In this in-person Yoga & Social Justice Circle, we’ll explore those connections together through the Eight Limbs of Yoga, reflection, conversation, and collective care. The circle may include guided reflection, discussion, meditation, and accessible movement. No previous yoga experience is required. Come as you are, with your questions, experiences, and curiosity. This is an in-person yoga circle hosted at: Smiley Basement Community Room Denver Public Library \~ Smiley Branch 4501 W. 46th Avenue, Denver, CO 80212 On street parking is available on 46th and in adjacent neighborhood Public transit: RTD Route 44 stops nearby on W. 44th Avenue near Tennyson; Smiley Library is approximately two blocks north.
